After seeing the Financial Health Network’s positive impact firsthand as a financial health researcher, Amelia joined the organization as a Senior Manager of Innovation. In her role, she contributes to the organization’s collaborations with fintechs, nonprofits, and other stakeholders to advance finhealth for low- and moderate-income people and communities.

Amelia leads the Financial Solutions Lab Exchange and Financial Solutions Lab Collaborative programs, connecting and supporting groups across sectors that are working to advance financial health. She also contributes to research as part of the organization’s learning agenda, publishing work on overdraft fees as well as the role of unsecured debt on worker financial health and job performance.

Previously, Amelia was a policy analyst at the New York City Office of Financial Empowerment, leading convenings around access to credit and contributing to the city’s work with student loan debt. She also worked as an editor at fintech company SmartAsset, writing and editing educational content on a range of financial topics.

Amelia holds a master’s degree from Oxford University and a bachelor’s degree from Columbia University. She is also a Board Member at Open New York, a grassroots pro-housing group advocating for abundant homes and lower rent.
