Julianna Samper

Director, Market Innovation
Financial Health Network

As Director, Market Innovation, Julianna finds new and better ways to support people on their path to financial health. She leverages learnings from the Financial Health Network’s research, tools, and services to influence the broader financial ecosystem.

In her role, Julianna aims to not only improve financial health for individuals earning low and moderate incomes, but also demonstrate the business value of investing in financial health, especially for individuals and families who experience system discrimination. She spearheads cross-industry conversation and collaboration to promote and support better systems that can improve financial health outcomes for all.

Julianna comes to the Financial Health Network with a passion for making the complex financial system accessible to everyone. She led wealth-building work at Commonwealth as Senior Innovation Manager, where she helped make investing more accessible through more inclusive product design. But her passion for equity in financial health stems from her hands-on work as a Financial Coach at Neighborhood Trust Financial Partners, an experience that opened her eyes to the importance of working at the systemic level to help families better navigate complex financial situations.

Julianna holds a Master of Business Administration from the Boston University Questrom School of Business, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and minors in French and German from the University of Florida. She served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Moldova from 2013 to 2015 supporting English education and community development.
