As Director of Communications, Michael leads marketing and communications for the Financial Solutions Lab, raising awareness for its work to identify, test, and scale promising finhealth innovations. He firmly believes fintech can make a difference in the lives of millions of Americans struggling with their financial health, particularly those who are low-income or from historically marginalized groups.
In his role, Michael oversees the strategy and execution of marketing initiatives to build the Financial Solutions Lab’s thought leadership and spotlight the work of the innovative fintech, nonprofit, and financial services companies it serves. He focuses on developing strong brand narratives and overseeing their distribution across a variety of channels, including earned media, web, social media, email, and in-person and virtual events.
Michael brings more than 10 years of marketing and communications experience to the Financial Health Network. He previously held roles with several marketing and public relations agencies, serving technology and sustainability-focused clients that ranged from startups to Fortune 500s.
Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in business management economics from the University of California at Santa Cruz.
